Exquisite Country Home near El Bosque - Cádiz
This charming property lies a few km outside from the picturesque andalusian village of El Bosque and about 15 minutes from the town of Ubrique. Surrounded by the hilly landscape of the Parque Natural de Grazalema the finca enjoys absolute peace and tranquility. The house, a converted oil mill, lies on the edge of the 112,000 m² (30 acres) property with the land sloping gently to the south and offering spectacular views over the hills and valleys below. The property is reached from the tarmacked country road via a short dirt track. Arriving at the finca a large wrought iron gate opens to the completely walled in cortijo complex. Entering the 20 x 40 m compound there is a work and storage shed to the right before climbing a few steps to a first level which finds a small - unfirnished - appartment integrating the lounge with the sleeping área and an open plan kitchen. There also is a bathroom with toilet. The next level opens to a very large and partly covered terrace and a tiled alberque (water reservoir) which invites to a quick refreshing dip. From here the actual cortijo is entered. Already passing through the entrance door the visitor is captivated by the artful and lovingly decorated home. All rooms are bigger than usual and are very bright with large, doublé glazed windows and high ceilings. To the left is the very spacious and fully equipped kitchen with dining área and large windows offering spendid views over the property. Adjoining the kitchen is a laundry room with washer and dryer and then there is also a large larder. To the right of the entrance is the spectacular lounge with doublé high ceilings, a cast iron wood burner standing in the old majestic fire place and high windows giving access to the terrace. Just a few steps up from the entrance hall is one of three very comfortable bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and dressing area. Before going up to the first floor there is a small powder room under the staircase. On the upper floor are two more bedrooms. To the left the impressive master suite with en-suite bath and walk-in wardrobe and ceiling high windows and to the right the third comfortable and bright bedroom equally with en-suite bath and dressing area. This bedroom has a direct acces to the rear part of the property.
The property is connected to mains electricity and the wáter is produced by two wells from where the water is pumped to two 3,000 liter water deposits. There is also satellite TV and Internet. The waste water is dealt with in a two chamber septic tank. The whole cortijo is in excellent state of repair and was repainted half a year ago. The house has underfloor oil operated heating. The finca forms roughly a square and is extremely well treed with an abundance of century old olive trees and many other varieties of mediterranean trees. The finca while being surrounded by pristine country is well connected. It takes jast a few minutes to all shopping, banking and restaurants in El Bosque. Arcos de la Frontera is reached in under 30 minutes and the international airports of Jerez de la Frontera and Seville in just over one and two hours respectively.
